Taco Seasoning

 It is so much cheaper to buy spices and make your own taco seasoning than to buy it in packets. So why people continue to buy packets is a mystery to me. You can make a big batch and put it in a large jar to use conveniently whenever you need it, so little packets aren't that much more convenient. So in effort to put an end to the packet madness, I am going to give you lovely people the recipe that I use. Here you go:

Taco Seasoning                                                                                                Makes 1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp.


1 tablespoon ground cumin
2 teaspoons cornstarch
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 1/2 teaspoons hot smoked paprika
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons chili powder


Put all of the ingredients in a small jar and shake to combine. Store in an airtight container for up to 1 month.
